Range of Programs
Calgary First Aid has a wide range of first aid and CPR programs offered to students. First aid classes are held for 14-16 hours and are available on weekdays, evenings, and weekends classes. Students learn topics such as bandaging, environmental emergencies, choking maneuvers, and wound care. CPR is also included in the first aid training program but CPR-only classes are also available.
There are three training class categories: A, C, and HCP. The first two are for first-time students. The last – HCP – is for healthcare providers working in healthcare facilities. These last 4, 5, and 6 hours long respectively.
Private training
Students with scheduling problems and big groups of trainees are encouraged to enroll in a private class or book a private instructor. Instructors are typically hired for special events like conferences and team-building activities for employees. You can inquire about schedules through e-mail or telephone calls.

Did You Know?
Calgary First Aid follows the highest standards in certification. Most providers in Alberta and Calgary combine both first aid and re-certification courses which makes the course difficult to follow and confusing for students. This structure of offering courses is not endorsed by St Mark James and students registering with these providers might not get credible certification and training. Calgary First Aid offers the highest standards and never partners full courses with re-certification classes. Check your competitors and be wary of any provider that combines classes in such a way.
